Study Spanish and International Business in Mexico

Business & Culture in Mexico is a six-week program offered during the summer for undergraduate students interested in learning about Mexico’s business environment and language and culture. This program is designed for students to take Business courses in English with the option of also learning or improving their Spanish. In the Business subjects, international students will work together with ITAM’s own Business students to explore both aspects of the country and its role in the global economic community. Language and Culture courses will be give students an additional dimension into the cultural environment of the country. The program includes visits to leading Business and Cultural sites of Mexico City and a weekend visit to Oaxaca or Guanajuato.

Students must enroll in 12 ITAM credits from the following selection of subjects to be offered in Summer 2015:

  • Business Strategy II - 6 ITAM credits

Each 6-credit class consists of 48 contact hours, while each 3-credit class consists of 24 contact hours.

The program includes the following excursions:

  • Mexico City Walking Tour

  • Teotihuacan Pyramids (All inclusive)

  • Visit to a Mexican PyME or NGO

  • Oaxaca or Guanajuato (3 days and 2 nights) includes hotel + transportation
  • Chiapas (Optional with additional cost after final exams)
